Let's Catch Up Part V: My Birthday and Thanksgiving

My birthday is on November 12 and I'm a true Scorpio in almost every way. The only Scorpio trait I don't have is 'secretive'. I am NOT secretive. I am an open book. :P

I actually spent my birthday in La Jolla, since I was still there training for my new job. 

It wasn't a bad place to be. I got to wake up and fall asleep to the sound of waves. 

Morning and Evening

My friend Erica came down 2 nights before to have dinner and take advantage of my excellent hotel room and location.

Preston came on my actual birthday. Since I've pretty much found the best new job ever...I was able to leave early in the afternoon to meet up with him. We took a walk on the beach, went to the sauna at the hotel, hung out in our hotel bathrobes, and had a delicious dinner in the little town of La Jolla Shores.

The weekend following my birthday, I headed back up to LA since my dad was visiting with his girlfriend Yvonne. 

It was a great weekend full of warm sunshine. We did lots of walking, eating, and watching football (not MY choice:P). We saw the movie, "Nightcrawler". It was excellent and disturbing. Also, the four of us went to a Laker's game, which was pretty fun.

By Thanksgiving, I was home again in LA. It was a pretty low key day. Preston and I hit the beach in the morning-he surfed and I took a long walk. It was a HOT day, but I loved it. 

We were graciously invited to dinner with our new friend Joie (the girlfriend of Preston's friend Aaron) and her family. It was awesome to have a proper Thanksgiving feast. Annnnd I took no pictures :P
